The National Forests in North Carolina issued a letter to their recreational special use permittees directing them to abide by all orders issued by the state of North Carolina or local authorities, and warning them that failure to do so “could result in the suspension, revocation, or termination of your current permit, jeopardize any future permit, and risk other violations of Federal, state and local laws.”  The letter also advises permittees that the Forest cannot predict or advise any permittees on when the current emergency might subside, but that the Forest understand the hardships permittees face and “stand[s] ready to help return you to a safe and orderly operation when this is all over.”
